You will work with key staff members and production personnel of the Twiste to manage the production elements of its performances, primarily at three venues. You will also work as needed with all departments on projects to help ensure that the organization's theatrical production standards are successfully integrated and maintained.  If you have a strong passion for the arts, we want to hear from you!  


What you'll do: In consultation with the Associate Producer, develop and administer production calendars including but not limited to, design deadlines, space schedule with venue, load-in and tech schedules, and all design and production meetings. • Assist the Associate Director of Production, with managing the technical design process to ensure the timely completion of designs and their execution within the allotted time, budget and personnel available. • Provide oversight and management of the technical production process and assist the key artistic, creative and management personnel with advice and support to solve production related problems and to advance the artistic goals of the organization. • Assist the Executive Producer and Associate Director of Production with the identification and hiring of designers and production personnel. Supervise seasonal employees and interns. • Coordinate the scheduling of calls for all stagehands, wardrobe, hair and other union production personnel; review and track paperwork; compile accurate and timely payroll • Manage, track, and reconcile company credit card expenditures for production personnel. • Assist the General Manager with show settlements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years professional experience as a production manager with personnel management

  • Experience working with theatrical unions, call lists, crew scheduling, and payroll

  • Demonstrated achievement with successfully developing, implementing and managing budgets, production calendars and schedules

  • A broad understanding of all aspects of technical theater

  • Established relationships with professionals and designers in musical theater

  • Experience working with AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks

  • Demonstrated commitment to the training, mentorship and education of young theater and arts professionals

  • Ability to foster a work environment that is safe, respectful, and supportive and that embodies the values of equity and inclusion

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • The ability to manage shifting and competing priorities, exercise good judgment and discretion, while maintaining a positive attitude

  • Experience with the creation and/or development of new musicals
